In our ongoing efforts to offer state of the art service for your horse, we offer digital (computerized) radiography.

Digital radiography allows for faster acquisition of radiographic images. These images are also the highest quality image possible. For those reasons, these images have the ability to have the brightness and contrast manipulated, as well as the image itself enlarged allowing our veterinarians to view small or subtle abnormalities.

This technology helps us detect very small problems which are not visible on traditional x-rays. Under high magnification, images remain very clear and retain sharp contrast. With this ability the doctors are able to measure angles and distances between bones to provide clear diagnoses of problem ranging from acute lameness to minor arthritis.

Our system is capable of obtaining superior quality digital radiographs both in the clinic and out in the field. In addition, hoof radiographs provide information to your hoof care provider on the angle of the bone in relation to the hoof wall to direct the way your hoof care provider trims your horse.
